Congratulations to the inaugural recipients of scholarships awarded from NDHC to support area students pursuing health careers and in rural health.

Northwood High School seniors Skylar Uglem, Kelby Azure, and Megan Larson, as well as UND students Madison Christian and Kalvin Slaubaugh received Health Profession Scholarships.

Arwyn Berke and Ashlind Feickert were awarded HOSA Achievement Awards for leadership demonstrated in HOSA and their interest in pursuing a health profession.

The Health Profession Scholarship is awarded to students who have been accepted into a health profession program at a college or university, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25, have an interest in working in rural healthcare, and are a North Dakota resident.

The HOSA Achievement Award recognizes seniors who are Northwood HOSA members, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25, demonstrate leadership in the HOSA chapter, show an interest in enrolling in a health profession program at a college or university, and have participated in the HSOA Fall or State Leadership Conference.

NDHC launched the scholarship programs in 2022 and will award them each spring. Scholarships range from $500 - $1,000.
