NDHC to close Binford clinic by year-end

ree

Northwood Deaconess Health Center (NDHC) is adjusting its Binford, N.D. satellite clinic services to one day per week on Tuesdays, beginning Oct. 21, with a permanent closing of the clinic expected by the end of the year.  The clinic currently offers family practice care and limited lab services.

"This was a very difficult decision that came after extensive review and careful consideration," said NDHC CEO Brock Sherva. "In today's rural health landscape, we need to be efficient and effective in providing patients with complete primary care. In order to accomplish this mission, we have determined it is necessary to consolidate resources to our Larimore and Northwood clinics."  The clinics, he added, are open five days per week, offering family practice care, lab and imaging services, along with access to specialty services.

Binford clinic patients will be receiving additional information from NDHC. “We hope to work with impacted patients to transition their care to one of our other clinic locations, or to another provider of their choice,” Sherva said. “We are committed to ensuring they continue to receive access to quality care and will work to help them in this transition.”

NDHC has operated the Binford satellite clinic since 2014.
