Outpatient Pulmonary Rehab
Pulmonary Rehabilitation has been offered since 2010 at NDHC. Run by an RN and a Therapist, Pulmonary Rehab helps patients with chronic respiratory disease to resume active and productive lives within the limitations imposed by their disease. A combination of exercise, symptom management, education and psychological support are offered to slow the progression of disease and improve quality of life. Clients who attend Pulmonary Rehab might include people with COPD, restrictive lung disease, lung cancer, asthma, emphysema, cystic fibrosis.
Pulmonary Rehab is held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings 8am-12 pm in the community fitness center located in the Rehab Department.
