It is the belief of Northwood Deaconess Health Center that a regular fitness program will improve an individual’s health and decrease the risk of illness and injury. In an effort to promote the health and wellness of its employees and members of the surrounding communities, Northwood Deaconess Health Center provides access to fitness equipment and programs.
The center is available 24/7 with the exception of Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am – 12 pm during which time Cardiac Rehab is in session. The center is monitored by video surveillance and members are able to get into the facility with an access device.
The access device allows more flexibility to exercise within a busy schedule. The Rehab Department provides equipment instruction with membership. A private fitness consult to customize your workout is available for a $70 one time fee.
Equipment includes bikes, treadmills, elliptical machines, Nustep, strength training machines and free weights.
Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult member. Parents are encouraged to bring items to keep children occupied during their workout. Extra access devices may be obtained upon request however; a deposit is required for each. The center is monitored using surveillance cameras 24/7. These devisees are used to help make this a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. A shower is available. Members are to supply their own linens.
