Northwood Deaconess Health Center (NDHC), located in Northwood, ND, provides a full range of health care services. NDHC operates a 12 bed acute care hospital, a 61 bed skilled nursing facility (including a unit specializing in dementia care), and provides a full range of laboratory and x-ray services, physical rehabilitation and occupational therapy, and ambulance services. With more than 160 employees, NDHC is the Northwood area's largest employer and is proud to be one of the "pioneers" of health care in the state of North Dakota.
History
Established in 1902, Northwood Deaconess Health Center is the oldest nursing home in the state and is owned by 12 Lutheran churches.
